Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund: Grantee Survey Results

Published: October 4, 2021

This presentation summarizes findings from a survey of grantees of the Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund (Fund) conducted by Building Changes in April/May 2021. Building Changes created the Fund in partnership with the Raikes Foundation and awarded $4.1 million in grants to 199 community-based organizations, service providers, schools, school districts, and tribes serving 25 counties across the state.

The purpose of the survey was to gather grantee perspectives on the changing needs of students, youth, and young adults experiencing homelessness and ways the public and philanthropic sectors can change to better meet those needs. The survey received 81 responses including 40 from grantees serving youth and young adults and 41 from grantees serving students.
