Get certified to utilize YDIP and HPDF in Washington State.

Building Changes currently supports both the Youth Diversion Infrastructure Project (YDIP) and the Homelessness Prevention & Diversion Fund (HPDF), in collaboration with Washington’s communities, the Office of Homeless Youth, and Schultz Family Foundation. YDIP and HPDF share the goal of reducing homelessness for youth and young adults across our state by providing streamlined access to flexible funding and Diversion support to help young people secure safe housing that works for them.

The following virtual trainings are designed to equip and certify community members working with young people to utilize YDIP and/or HPDF in their communities. Participants will ground themselves in the spirit of Diversion, build skills in having Diversion conversations, and learn how to make requests for funds on behalf of eligible young people. Anyone working with young people in designated YDIP and/or HPDF counties can participate in these trainings, regardless of prior experience with Diversion or working in a homeless service agency.

Questions about YDIP, HPDF, and these trainings may be directed to Julius Henrichsen, Youth & Young Adult Diversion Portfolio Specialist at Building Changes.
