Actions to impact homelessness must be driven by data, guided by knowledge and focused on results.
Building Changes places a high value on measurement, learning and evaluation. We collect and analyze data to gauge the progress of the various strategies for impacting homelessness. Our evaluations allow us to improve the overall effectiveness of those strategies, and help us determine which ones work best in addressing the different circumstances of people experiencing homelessness.
We act on every opportunity to identify and eliminate racial disparities within the systems and structures that serve people are homeless. Services must be accessible, inclusive and equitable for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.
We place a high level of importance on sharing what we learn with the field so others can use the knowledge as an engine for progress. We have compiled much of what we have learned in our Library.
