Great Speeches From A Dying World is a remarkable documentary film by Seattle director/filmmaker, Linas Phillips. The film, which has been praised by critics and audiences alike, premiered in 2008 and has been making the rounds at film festivals across the country, including the Sarasota Film Festival, Portland Documentary and eXperimental Film Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival. The film is about 10 homeless people in Seattle, focusing on the life of Tomey Smith, and features each person reciting a famous speech from history.
